Furman MASD
As the Graduate Assistant and Marketing Coordinator for the MASD program, I designed a range of recruitment and promotional materials including email campaigns, event posters, presentations, and event programs. I developed and executed campaign strategies for the 2024-2025 recruitment cycle. My role also included managing the program’s social media presence- crafting a content schedule, capturing original content, and implementing calls to action to drive engagement and interest.

MARKETING CAMPAIGN
Campus-Wide Campaign
This campaign was created with the intent of gaining undergraduate engagement with and interest in the MASD program. With no graphic design major at Furman University, it is common for the program to attract creatives from a wide variety of undergraduate backgrounds. In fact, 73% of MASD students have little to no design experience coming into the program. Through this campaign, we wanted to highlight the “no design experience required” aspect of the program while also showcasing the work of past students who fit this criterion.
I worked on this project in all facets: ideation, pitching, concept, and design.
PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS
MASD 2024: Student Work Magazine
A yearly publication, the MASD graduate assistant is tasked with selecting a variety of projects from the graduating class to highlight. This magazine is used as a promotion for the program- handed out to prospective students. It was important to excite readers while also showing the versatility within the program by showcasing projects that utilize different skills and areas of focus.
SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS
Running the Instagram account, I prioritized content variety. I created contents that aligned with trends, our brand voice, and responsibility to educate as an master’s program. I tracked what kinds of posts received the most engagement and adjusted the content calendar to target these peaks while still maintaining a healthy variation.
During my stint as the content creator (Spring 2024 - Spring 2025), the account experienced over a 25% increase in Instagram followers.
Left: Showcasing students’ personal reasons for pursuing a Master’s of Arts in Strategic Design at Furman University. This campaign gives the program a face or personality to resonate with viewers and emphasize the differences among our students and their values.
Below: An ad campaign I pitched and designed in efforts to garner attention of post-graduate students and young professionals to view MASD as a stepping stone to climbing the job ladder.
Below are promotional posters I designed for MASD-sponsored events and important reminders. On a college campus, you are sure to find cluttered bulletin boards and walls. Furman is no exception, so it was imperative to create eye-catching posters that stood out to students in a sea of information. For events targeting undergraduates, I created original designs to stand out against the Furman purple. For programming posters where it was important to promote MASD recognition and awareness, I stuck to the program brand guidelines and played with layouts and graphics that would stand out.
